General English is for you if you need to use English language for your social life, your future study or for work. In the Kingsway General English class you will practise the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in a lively way that gets you motivated. Our teachers encourage you to speak and to get involved in a wide variety of activities.
General English classes have tests every five weeks. Your progress is recorded and if you achieve our promotion grade of 70%, you may be allowed to move to the next class. However, it is important that you show consistent improvement during your studies. Many students are able to progress from one class to the next with around 12 weeks of study.
Our classes have no more than 18 students. This allows a closer interaction between you and your teachers, with more personal attention.
Normally this is not allowed, but under special circumstances you may change either from the Morning to the Evening session or from the Evening to Morning session. For details, please talk to our Administration Department on Level 1.
You can study English for Academic Purposes or the IELTS Preparation Course if you meet the English entry requirements. You can also go on to a Vocational Course with most of our VET partners.
Your teachers are experienced and qualified with a proven record of teaching international students. We only have native-level English speaking teachers, so you can be sure you are learning correct grammar, pronunciation and usage.
